Buy once, train forever

May 30, 2026 · by Movr

Open the fitness section of the App Store and almost everything costs $10 to $15 a month. Forever. You stop paying, you lose your app — and often your data with it.

Movr doesn't work that way.

One-time unlocks

Movr is free to download. You unlock what you need with a one-time purchase, and you own it. The iPhone app, the Apple Watch companion, scheduling — each is a one-time unlock, and there's a Premium Bundle that covers everything at a lower price than buying the parts.

There's also an optional "Support the Developer" subscription. It's a tip jar for people who want to chip in. It is never required, and it unlocks nothing you can't get with a one-time purchase.

No account, no data collection

You don't create an account to use Movr. You don't hand over an email or a profile. Your workouts sync between your own devices through your private iCloud — they're yours, on your hardware, not on a server we can read.

The app uses no third-party analytics and no ad frameworks. There's nothing to harvest because we don't collect it.

Why this matters for a workout app

A training app is something you reach for several times a week, for years. It should feel like a tool you own, not a service you rent. Buy-once pricing keeps the incentives honest: we make a better app to earn the next person's one-time purchase, not to keep you locked into a recurring bill.

That's the whole idea. Pay once. Train as long as you like.
